Sometimes a dream is just a dream. Yet it is commonly held that deific beings relay knowledge and warnings to their sleeping acolytes. Most will live a lifetime without receiving such visions, whilst a rare few find themselves visited by constant cryptic messages. Often the exact meaning is left unclear, and the recipient must do their best to interpret the part they must play in coming events.

The entity imparts a portion of its power and consciousness on a chosen host, forcing changes in their behavior or, if given ample time and permission, assuming total control of their actions.
