Sir Randal comes from the Arkhosian noble house of Blackmont, a vassal house loyal to house Dalmont.
He is an Arkhosian knight sworn into the service of Raven company and currently holds the rank of Lejtnant. He is the current 'champion' of the Raven company and has represented both the company and the Tavern town in numerous single combats and has yet to falter in this regard. As well as holding the title of champion he also serves as the second in command of the Raven company, a title that was passed to him with the resignation of Kapitan Hallard from the position of Kapitan which led to his successor Sir Reiner becoming Kapitan of the company and naming Randal his second.
During an expedition to the inner weft the Raven company had assembled a group of powerful individuals including the Elte and Illir the sentinel of Light camp for the purpose of destroying 'the rise and fall' the most powerful weapon in the weft at the time. With the direct aid of Tylos they had managed to destroy this weapon, an event which led many to think of Randal as a Saint. While he refutes the title of Saint there are many who still think to call him Saint Randal the patron Saint of Tavern town. Before signing with the Raven company he spent his formative years in Arkhos training to be a witch hunter and still actively uses the skills he had learned from his training to this day.
